The weeding process involves both hand-pulling and light chemical use. When weeds are pulled (which we prefer to do while raking) we are sure to dispose of them immediately in separate bags to prevent the dispersal of seeds. When necessary, we will utilize some light chemicals including herbicides for the small and hard to reach weeds and Snapshot (a pre-emergent weed prevention solution) before seeds begin germinating in the Spring. However, it is our preference to minimize the use of chemicals, whenever possible.
